Have I Told This Blog How Much I Love Daft Punk?

No? No, I don’t think I have. Mentions in passing, yes, but the grisly details of my obsession? I believe not.

Well, I don’t know where to start, actually. How about the fact that I have all their studio albums & their live album, both their movies, have scoured the internet for their interviews, have tracked down photos of their unmasked face from way back 1990 and actually stored these photos in a folder, along with a ton more of their photo shoots?

To be honest, that doesn’t sound like much. But you have to take my word for it, because I can’t explain it any other way: I am insane for Daft Punk. I have a history of being a lunatic fangirl (yes, yes, those introverted but all the while convulsively screaming teens on Tumblr, I was one of them, still am) for a number of musicians and bands–among other things–and these boys have not been spared from my flaming passions.

I can’t really explain it any other way without detailing my routines involving them, so I won’t. However, let it be known that there are a fuckload of good reasons why I love them, a few being 1.) They are smoking hot, helmets or no, 2.) Their music revolutionized their genre but at the same time is so different from all the rest of EDM, and 3.) They’re fucking geniuses (like really, Thomas transferred to Carnot because his previous school was too easy, & he met Guy-man in Carnot). One of these days I’ll probably post my botched attempt at writing the first entry for Musician of the Day, which features Daft Punk & how they changed my life. It might give enough insight on my condition right now.

Well, that’s all I wanted to say. Carry on, chaps.

Oh, but before you go, here’s one of my favorite Daft Punk songs ever, plus photos–masked & unmasked, because I am a merciful god–of dem hot-as-fuck French androids. I never thought I’d live to see the day I’d say this but, Long Live EDM!! △△
